MARSHALL KIRK graduated from Harvard University in 1980. He gave up a National Science Foundation fellowship in order to write full time. A researcher in neuropsychiatry, logician, and poet, Kirk has worked with Johns Hopkins' Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth, designed aptitude tests for adults with 200+ IQs, and spent years trying to figure out what makes gays tick.
